Productivity Bonus

When will the Productivity Bonus payouts be issued?

The Annual Productivity Bonus payout will be issued each year on December 1st. It will include contributions received from October work month through to September work month.


How do I request my Productivity Bonus payout?

All requests can be sent via email to benefits@carpentersresidential.ca.

Requests sent via email must be encrypted to protect you. To learn how to send an encrypted document, visit carpentersresidential.ca/encrypt

Applications can also be mailed, or dropped at the Plan Administration Office’s reception or external mailbox, at 45 McIntosh Drive, Markham, Ontario L3R 8C7.

Does the plan offer private counselling?

FSEAP is the Plan’s free private counselling service that is open to you and your covered family members.

Please don’t hesitate to use the Plan’s helpful mental health, financial planning and other resources for daily life. You may be dealing with worry about family issues, money issues or concerns about older family members. Please reach out to FSEAP if you need help dealing with any problems. FSEAP is available 24/7/365 days per year.

How do I submit a health and/or dental claim

All Health and Wellness Plan claims should be filed by your service provider at point of sale. Your providers can easily register for e-filing with the Plan.

If your provider won’t provide an e-filing service you can file your claim electronically through Green Shield Canada (GSC). Filing claims electronically is easy and provides for fast payment of your claim.

To register/login to GSC visit, gsceverywhere.ca/login.

To download the mobile app, search ‘GSC Everywhere’ in the App Store or Google Play. For help using the mobile app, or the online service, visit carpentersresidential.ca/gsc-tutorials.

Does the plan offer travel assistance?

Yes

If you are planning to travel inside or outside Ontario, please contact the travel insurer (GSC) to be aware of any travel restrictions that may apply to you.

When calling for assistance, quote the Plan’s GSC travel assistance group number 4932.

The GSC Travel Assistance Team will also require your unique Plan Member GSC Identification Number. This is also on your Benefit Card. In addition, you might need to provide your provincial health insurance plan number. Please have all of this ready when you call. Take this time to make a photo of your Benefit Card and store it in your mobile photos.

Am I entitled to Weekly Indemnity Benefits?

A covered plan member who becomes disabled due to a sickness and/or injury that is not work-related may be eligible to receive WI. The application can be found on the plan’s website at carpentersresidential.ca/health-and-wellness., under the ‘Claims’ heading.

If you are applying for WI, applications can be sent via email to benefits@carpentersresidential.ca. Applications can also be mailed or dropped off at the Plan Administration Office’s reception or after-hours external mailbox at 45 McIntosh Drive, Markham, Ontario L3R 8C7.

If you are not ill but are in quarantine/in self-isolation due to COVID-19, you do not qualify for the WI benefit. Information on government help due to COVID-19 can be found here: www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei.html.


When can I refill my prescriptions?

You can refill prescriptions once 80% of the prescription is completed. Your pharmacist files your claim for you at the pharmacy.


What is PocketPills?

PocketPills is Canada’s #1 online pharmacy. You and your dependants can think of this service as a mobile pharmacy with more convenience, better savings and exceptional customer service.

PocketPills was added to your Plan to help fill and manage prescriptions for you and your dependants anywhere, at any time.

RRSP

How do I enrol in the RRSP plan?

A new RRSP enrollment guide has been added to the plan website – carpentersresidential.ca/rrsp. The guide outlines why you should enrol, how to enrol, how to control your investments, and how to monitor your account once complete. Employer money paid under the collective agreement for you can’t be transferred to Manulife until you provide your name, address, date of birth and social insurance number. Don’t delay: its your responsibility to enrol in the RRSP.

Everything you need to enrol in the plan’s RRSP is available on the RRSP page of the website, including info on setting up your personal account on Manulife’s secure portal.


How can I withdraw from my plan’s RRSP?

All withdrawal requests should be sent via email to benefits@carpentersresidential.ca. Applications can also be dropped at the Plan Administration Office’s external mailbox at 45 McIntosh Drive, Markham, Ontario.


RPP

How do I enrol in the RPP plan?

You must provide the Plan Administration Office with your name, address, date of birth and social insurance number. You do this by filing a complete Member Information Form.

Don’t delay. It’s your responsibility to enrol in the pension plan if your employer makes contributions to it under your collective agreement. Employer money paid for you can’t be transferred to Manulife for your RPP until you provide your completed Member Information Form.

You can access your RPP account information on the Manulife website.

If you haven’t registered your account on Manulife’s website, the guide to do so is on this page – carpentersresidential.ca/pension.


Will I receive a RPP benefit statement?

Benefit statements are issued by Manulife Financial twice each year and available under your account on Manulife’s website. If you have not received your Manulife statement, please contact the the Plan Administration Office.

Vacation Pay

When will the Vacation Pay payouts be issued?

Payments will be made every year on November 1st.


How do I request my Vacation Pay payout?
